New Shelter Home in Odessa Rescues Three Forgotten Siblings
Nobody knows where and when Vadim, about ten years old, was born. His sister Natasha is about nine, and little Masha is seven. While Masha was still in her mother’s womb, the alcoholic parents decided that three children would be too much of a burden. Their decision to abort the child was made at a very late stage of the pregnancy, yet, quite unexpectedly, the baby was born alive.
Vadim, Natasha, and Masha were never sent to school or taken to a doctor, and were only occasionally under the supervision of a neighbor or a friendly dog. The seldom-earned wages of the unemployed parents was not enough to live on. The family sold everything they could to survive except for the shack with filthy windows they called home.
